Small group

Read 1 Corinthians 12:4–11

  1. What do you think each of the spiritual gifts refers to? (v8–10)
  2. What is the gift of tongues? Does anyone have any experience of it?
  3. How do you feel about the idea of God giving us supernatural gifts?
  4. Does everybody have the same gifts? (v4–6)
  5. Why does God give spiritual gifts to people? (v.7)

Mention that there will be an opportunity to hear more on this subject in the next session.

Lunch

Give time when to be back for the next video. In 45min?

Prayer

If worship is provided, people can raise their hands in prayer or come to a designated place where hosts or helpers can pray for them.

If worship is not provided, use a circular formation, and hosts / helpers can ask if people want prayer.

Tips:-

  • What do they want prayer for? (Salvation, Holy Spirit, Other)
  • Ask to lay hands on!?
  • It’s ok if they say no.
  • Silence is ok.
  • Be led in your prayers.
  • Scripture recall.
  • Prophecy should be in line with scripture, encouraging and loving.
  • If they have asked, they will receive. (Matthew 7:7, 11)

Testimonials

Ask each member of the group, starting with the person who will be most open, to describe their experience of the weekend. If appropriate you may wish to offer an opportunity for the group to pray for one another.

End

Close in prayer, allowing others to pray for each other if they want to. Host to finish in a final prayer.
